Mimi appears in JFA with the face of her younger sister, Ini.

A year before JFA Mimi worked as a nurse in Grey's Surgical Clinic, and one night fourteen patients passed unexpectedly away. Mimi was the main suspect, and she quickly left the hospital with her sister Ini. However, she fell asleep at the wheel and crashed. Believing Grey had poisoned her with sleeping pills she promised to take revenge.

Ini was killed in the crash, and Mimi was severely burned. Mimi was taken to the Hotta clinic, and underwent plastic surgery to make her look like her younger sister, Ini. Ini's body was burned to ash in the car fire so no one could prove which sister had died anyway. Mimi was released half a year later and intended to start her life anew, as her sister, until she heard that Grey was going to try and summon the spirit of his nurse. If Maya tried to summon "Mimi" and couldn't (because she was actually still alive) her identity would be blown.

Deciding it was the best opportunity for revenge Mimi teamed up with Morgan to frame Maya for Grey's murder.
